In 2024, we had the opportunity to buy a house in Southern Europe, but we had no idea where to start. Fortunately, our neighbour was an experienced Southern Europe enthusiast and often spoke about his little house in Fuseta, where he planned to spend his retirement. According to him, it was the very best place to be – a true hidden gem.

His enthusiasm was contagious, so we asked if he would help us find a home of our own in Fuseta. A few months later, we travelled to Portugal for our first viewing. It was love at first sight, and we immediately purchased Casa Flora.

Over the following 18 months, we completely renovated the house, carefully combining its authentic charm with modern comforts. Today, Casa Flora is finished, and we are incredibly proud of the result. Along the way, we also became true fans of the village and its relaxed atmosphere, beautiful beaches, and welcoming community.

Now, we would love for others to experience and enjoy the Algarve—and especially the unique charm of Fuseta—as much as we do.
